Anna Jalving (b. 1991) is a danish violinist and performer.
She is performing both classical and contemporary music and as a musical gestures performer without her instrument,
when a piece requires it.
She studied at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus with Michelle Makarski and Mo Yi and at The British Columbia Academy of Music in Vancouver with Robert Rozek. She completed The Advanced Master in Contemporary Music with ICTUS
and Spectra Ensemble in Belgium 2018 - 2019.
As a passionated chamber musician she is working with different ensembles and orchestras throughout Europe.
She is regularly invited to play with Aarhus Symphony Orchestra, Århus Sinfonietta, Nadar Ensemble, Down The Rabbit Hole, Spectra Ensemble and latest as a soloist with Ensemble Intercontemporain and ULYSSES Ensemble.
In recent years, Anna has had the opportunity to work closely with composers such as Simon Steen-Andersen, François Sarhan, David Helbich, Line Tjørnhøj, Karl Naëgelen, Allan Gravgaard Madsen, Jürg Frey, Lil Lacy and Jeppe Ernst.
Since 2018 Anna has led the concert/installation project DUO, a collaborative platform for artist from different parts of the world and with different artistic backgrounds to meet and create new works together.
DUO III will premiere on SPOR Festival 2020.
